Pasture Walk Series #5: Wood Farm
Description
Join the Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council for a pasture walk at Lee & Tasha Wood's farm. The Woods run 50 cow/calf pairs on approximately 500 acres. They are new to sustainable agriculture and continue to learn as they make changes to their grazing operation. They are currently focused on: minimal tillage using a no till drill, winter bale grazing, and high density rotational grazing to build soil health.
The Woods have had assistance from the NRCS to develop their grazing system and advance their soil health journey. Jace Stallman, Regional Range Specialist with the NRCS, will help lead the walk and answer your grazing questions. Join us for some quality farmer-to-farmer conversation in the field!
Registration: Free admission. Pre-registration is requested
