Silvopasture and Conservation Easement Field Day - Cannon Falls
Description
At this Soil Health Field Day, we will tour and discuss Todd Churchill's silvopasture system and proposed conservation easement. This event will cover how sustainable grazing management strategies like silvopasture and easements impact soil health and landscape conservation.
Todd Churchill will discuss the management of his farm and his goals around conservation of his land and soils. SFA’s Doug Voss and Tyler Carlson will discuss silvopasture and grazing management and Wayne Ostlie from Minnesota Land Trust will discuss conservation easements and that whole process. Tom Hunter, a Wabasha County farmer, will also speak.
Feel free to join us after the presentation for provided snacks, time to socialize, and a chance to ask and answer questions! Come and share ideas, hear from industry professionals, and talk with farmers that are implementing conservation practices and increasing profitability! See the event flyer here.
