Silvopasture Field Day - Brainerd

Description

This Silvopasture Field Day will begin at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. After lunch, the group will travel to Rotary Park for a tour and presentation on prescribed goat grazing for buckthorn control with Adam Maleski, Crow Wing SWCD. The field day will close at Judy & Harry Worm's farm for another tour and example of silvopasture in action.

Lunch will be provided. After lunch, we will view a site along the Mississippi where goats are being grazed for buckthorn control.

*This event was formerly to be held at Early Boots Farm in Sauk Centre, but has been relocated and retooled due to drought conditions.

SFA's COVID-19 Preparedness Plan will be implemented at this event. Mask wearing is required for those who are not fully vaccinated during the indoor part of the workshop. Registration strongly encouraged for planning purposes. Walk ups welcome but cannot be guaranteed lunch.
