Frogtown Farm Fall Tour

09/28/2022 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM CT

Description

Please join the Twin Cities Metro Growers Network, Sustainable Farming Association, and Conservation Minnesota at Frogtown Farm on September 28th from 3-5 pm. Free to attend, registration requested.

Frogtown Park and Farm is an urban demonstration farm - a destination for those who seek learning, innovation, reflection, celebration, and authentic community. Founded in 2013, Frogtown Farm is a community-led initiative with 13 acres of green space in the vibrant and diverse Frogtown Neighborhood situated northeast of downtown St. Paul.

The event will feature a farm tour focused on Frogtown's efforts to protect water quality in an urban agricultural setting and an opportunity to learn about the historical context for the unique collaboration that created and sustains Frogtown Farm and the land they grow on. We invite all interested in hearing about the water conservation efforts and climate challenges facing urban agriculture to gather to learn about this innovative farming model and to celebrate the end of the growing season!

Frogtown is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and there will be an opportunity during the afternoon to donate directly to support the farm. Guests will also have the opportunity to socialize and learn more about the Sustainable Farming Association, Conservation Minnesota, and the Twin Cities Metro Grower's Network.

Address: 946 Minnehaha Ave. W. St Paul, MN 55104

We will meet near the center of the park.

A note on parking: There are entrances to the north, east, and south of the park where free street parking is available. The paths from the north and east entrances are on more of an incline than from the south. There is a very small lot in the park itself that will fill quickly.

Agenda:

  • Welcome and introductions of partner organizations
  • History of Frogtown Farm by a founding farm member, Seitu Jones
  • Frogtown Farm tour by members of this season's farm staff, Chris and Charlie
  • Seasonal refreshments provided by the farm and partners & networking

Registration information will be shared with Conservation Minnesota and Frogtown Farm.

SFA staff and volunteers occasionally take photos during our workshops, cafe chats and field days for promotional purposes and to use as documentation of events to share with our funders.  If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our event host know -- we'll make every effort to make sure you are not photographed.
