2023-01 East Central Chapter Annual Meeting

You are invited to register and attend the annual meeting of the East Central Chapter of the Sustainable Farming Association (SFA) being held on January 14, 2023, at Leader in Cambridge, MN.  Dinner will be served and is free for East Central Chapter members.  Non-members of East Central Chapter are welcome and encouraged to attend.  The fee for non-members of East Central Chapter is $30.00.  We ask all to register in advance.

Hear about Direct Marketing:

Jared Luhman will be speaking at this event.  In his talk Jared will describe why they made the decision to get into direct marketing, the advantages and disadvantages that come with the enterprise, and some of the things that have been key to their success.

Jared farms on his family’s farm in Goodhue, MN along with his wife Valerie and dad Jon. They raise registered Red Angus cattle and breed livestock that are bred to thrive in their environment without the use of expensive inputs. Jared and Valerie own and operate Grass Fed Cattle Company, a direct-to-consumer brand marketing grass fed beef, pastured pork, and pastured poultry from their farm and from other local farmers to customers in and around the Twin Cities. Their goals are to manage their farm in a way that improves the land under their stewardship, the profitability of their business and the lifestyle that they enjoy. Fee:            East Central Chapter Members (active at time of meeting) – FREE. Non Chapter members $30.00

East Central Chapter Members – If you are a current East Central Chapter member sign into your SFA account LOGIN and then access the event registration page and register.  (Note, if your membership expires before January 14, 2023, you will need to RENEW your membership before you register).

Become an East Central Chapter Member – Become a member by joining SFA and selecting East Central Chapter as your chapter of choice.  JOIN HERE.  When you join, create an account.  While signed into your account access the event registration page and register

Not an East Central Chapter Member – Click the registration link to register and pay the $30.00 fee. 

When you register you will be asked to share any dietary restrictions, for example, gluten free, dairy free, etc.
