Mississippi River Day at Mill City Farmers Market

06/17/2023 08:00 AM - 01:00 PM CT

Description

Green Lands Blue Waters and Sustainable Farming Association will be celebrating River Days of Action at the Mill City Farmers Market, overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River!

Hear how farmers using Continuous Living Cover practices help protect the River, and learn about Kernza, a perennial grain and “clean-water crop”. Taste Kernza crackers from Perennial Pantry, and watch a cooking demonstration to learn how to use Kernza in your kitchen. Feeling inspired to help the river while you cook delicious food? Cookbook author Beth Dooley will be on-site selling signed copies of The Forever Green Cookbook and The Perennial Kitchen cookbook.

Mississippi River Day is free to attend and no registration is required. Come visit us, and enjoy the rest of what Mill City Farmers Market has to offer too!

Address: 750 S 2nd St. Minneapolis, MN 55401

The event is part of Mississippi River Network's River Days of Action, a series of events taking place June 8-18, throughout the Mississippi River basin, including the 10 states that border the Mississippi River.
