Pasture Walk Series #3: Brakstad Family Farm

06/27/2024 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM CT

Description

Join us at Brakstad Family Farm for the third of our summer Pasture Walk Series!

Lance and Robyn Bragstad will be sharing their first-time experience of outwintering, using both bale grazing and unrolling bales. We will also be touring the grazing system and other farm enterprises, including the hydroponic greenhouse and vegetable operation.

About the farm: Brakstad Family Farm has been family-owned and operated for three generations. In 2010, Lance and Robyn Bragstad were gifted with their first pair of Holstein calves. What began as a small hobby farm has grown into a reputable all-natural farming business. They currently run a 30 cow/calf to finish Red Poll cattle operation and direct market all their animals. They also raise vegetables and market through local farmers markets, an on-farm store, and the Lakes Area Farm to Food Shelf Program.

Registration: Free Admission. Registration requested, walkups welcome.

This event is hosted by the Crow Wing River Basin Forage Council.

Address: 1679 52nd St. SW Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
