No-Till, No Problem: From 60-Inch Corn to Full-Season Forage
Description
Join us for a hands-on, full-circle look at how thoughtful integration of cropping and grazing systems can beat the summer slump, build soil health, and stretch your grazing season further than ever.
We’ll start the day under the tent for a morning session exploring the “why” behind regenerative practices—cover cropping, no-till strategies, livestock integration, and managing year-round soil cover. After lunch, we’ll head into the field for a walking tour and hay wagon ride at Brady Gross's farm, where we’ll see these principles in action.
A special feature of this event: SFA consultants Doug Voss and Jonathan Kilpatrick will be leading this event and doing live, on-farm coaching with Brady during the tour. Brady Gross, a former SFA consulting client, is opening up his operation to serve as a classroom for other farmers and a real-time example of what it’s like to work with SFA’s technical assistance team. Attendees will get to observe how consultants approach site-specific decision-making, problem-solving, and planning—providing a valuable learning opportunity for anyone considering consulting support on their own farm.
